THE BALKANMOTO BBQ APRON
The Idea
After getting into a bit of leather craft over the holidays I decided it's time I built myself some useful stuff. The first of these is a leather apron I can use to do BBQ but also in and around the shop as I craft up other things.
The Materials
- 4oz-5oz Double Shoulder Vegetable Tan Leather - to make the apron and pockets
- 7oz-8oz Vegetable Tan Leather - to make straps
- 28x rivets of choice
- 1x stud connector
- 1x 1.5" D ring
- 1x 2" D ring
- Waxed shoe/leather thread
The Tools
- Ruler or Square
- Exact-o Knife or another knife to cut the leather with
- 3mm hole punch
- 6mm hole punch
- 4mm diamond pricking irons
- Maul or Mallet or Hammer
- Slicker
- Awl
- Bevel Stamp
- Leather molding picks
- 2x Leather sewing needles
- Bevel Stamp
- Rivet setter
- Sponge
- Tupperware box
- 2x towels (not microfibre)
The Consumables
- Feibing's Pro Dye: Light Brown
- Feibing's Leather Balm with Atom Wax
